Rooting is the Android equivalent of jailbreaking, a means of unlocking the operating system so you can install unapproved (by Google) apps, update the OS, replace the firmware, customize just about anything, and so on. The best thing about Android is that it’s completely customizable with Rooted Apps.
You don’t need to use an Android tablet or phone to install apps. Using a computer, you can visit the Google Play website, choose software, and install android apps from PC remotely. It’s kind of cool yet kind of scary at the same time.
