Track Missed Notification in Android

How to Track Every Missed Notification on an Android ? You’re probably constantly bombarded by notifications throughout the day, whether on your PC or phone. Because you get so many, it can be easy to accidentally clear a few that you didn’t even get to check.

If you’re prone to dismissing notifications before you get a chance to respond to them, here are two methods to keep a running log of every ping.

Missed Notification in Android

First, you can create a widget to log notifications for you. Because of hardware makers’ changes to stock Android, this method won’t work on every device (such as Samsung phones), so you’ll have to check if it works for your device.

Long-press on an empty section of your home screen and press Widgets. Next, scroll to Settings and drag its icon anywhere on your home screen. Once you place it, you’ll be greeted with a menu asking what you’d like this shortcut to point to.

Scroll down to Notification Log and you’ll now have a shortcut on your home screen that takes you directly to a history of notifications. Current notifications are shown in white, while past ones are light gray. You can tap any one to jump to its app info page.

If you don’t see this setting under your widgets, install an app like Notification Saver on any device running Android 4.4 or above. This app performs a similar functionality to the stock method, but also allows you to export the notification log if you desire.

Even if you can use the stock method, try this out if you’d like a bit more control over the log! Seeing too many updates from one app? Don’t forget you can disable notifications for any app!
